IDC Staff Instructor
PADI IDC Staff Instructors are PADI Instructors moving towards
instructor-level training or teaching the Instructor Development Course
(IDC). IDC Staff Instructors can independently train and certify PADI
Assistant Instructors as well as help train PADI Open Water Scuba
Instructors.

Build upon your foundation as a PADI Instructor and join the Instructor
Development (ID) process by taking the PADI IDC Staff Instructor
course. Only IDC Staff Instructors are qualified to teach
Assistant Instructor courses independently, thereby enhancing your
employment prospects, earnings potential and standing within the dive
community. Another benefit of becoming an IDC Staff Instructor is
that you can assist or conduct Instructor Development Courses (IDC’s)
under the supervision of our Instructor Development team.

course will really benefit your career as a dive professional. By
auditing an entire IDC from a staff perspective you’ll learn how to
evaluate candidate presentations, give effective critique’s, conduct
the ‘Assistant Instructor’ course and present curriculum from the PADI
IDC. The IDC Staff Instructor course is the 1st important step to
becoming a PADI Course Director. I enjoy the mentor relationship
that I form with my IDC Staff candidates and teaching them the
psychology of evaluation in addition to the marking criteria, we
encourage all Instructors who have completed this program with us to
gain further experience by assisting on future IDC’s at the Utila Dive
Centre.
